Some basic instructions

We are currently at WoW Version 1.12.1

Patches for wow can be downloaded from : File front WoW patch mirror
Basics (signup and how to connect):

Sign up for an account at Check new stickes

then open file "realmlist.wtf" located in the main WoW folder with notepad and change the address from

to

set realmlist wow.kpsforum.com

(for the den only)

then just try to connect.

if the above doesnt work find a folders called WTF and WDB in the WoW folder, then rename them to whatever else you want. then try to connect to my realm, It should work!



Leveling is extremely Easy and you can level all the way to level 255, the server rates are as following:

Items and Item giveaways

We will NOT be giving out items on this server, there are simply too many drops from normal mobs to warrant Item giveaways.

Question: "hep me, i no can make gold. give gold plz"

Answer: Don't beg. Begging only makes you look lazy. Every humanoid mob in the game drops tons of gold. Even the starting mobs drop 5-20 silver each. Kill enough of those and you will have plenty of money. Once you are 25-30'ish go to Hillsbrad and kill Hillsbrad Footmen. They drop 30-35 gold per kill. Also, pick up items from your kills and sell them. There should be no reason you need to beg someone for money.



Question: "Do the boats work?"

Answer: From what I have seen, boats and zepplins do not work, but there are portals at most of those places that will take you to their destination. Just look around.



Question: "Can u port me plz?"

Answer: No. Stop asking. If you are too lazy to try to walk somewhere then you obviously don't want to get there badly enough. Just because someone is over level 60 that does not make them a GM.


Question: "Why doesn't XXX skill work?"

Answer: This is not an official server. There are many skills and talents that do not work. If you find a skill or talent that doesn't work please post the details in the "Official Buglist" forum. Please include any additional information about the problem you are having, including your character name, race, and class. Also, take the time to read the posts in the buglist forum before making a new one, as it is possible that someone has already reported that bug.


Question: "I just saw a cow riding a tiger. Is that normal?"

Answer: Run for your life. At no point should you ever approach a cow on a tiger, as only bad things can result.


Question: "can u give me t2 plz"

Answer: No. Go kill mobs and loot your gear. If a GM decides to give you something it will not be because you sent him 1000 tells asking for it. Sometimes the GMs feel generous and give out items, but it isn't something you should expect. Think of it as a rare and special reward for being a good player and not a beggar.



Question: "What instances are open?"

Answer: Currently everything except Naxxramus is stocked. Not all of the drops are correct though. Also, instances are not private on this server. There is a zone for each instance that everyone goes to when they zone in. So you will not have AQ20 all to yourself. Share and play nice when it comes to bumping into other people inside an instance.


Question: "My mount isn't working, can you fix it?"

Answer: The server currently uses the 1.12.1 patch where changes were made to mounts and the riding skills, but the database that has the items has only been partially updated. Because of this you will find a lot of mounts that take such things as "Nightsaber Riding 1" or "Raptor Riding 1" but those skills no longer exist. After you purchase the Riding skill and begin to look for a mount pay close attention to the skill requirements of that mount. Look for a mount that uses the Riding skill and is allowed by your race. That mount should then work for you.

Question: "I'm trying to log in to the server but am stuck at "Connected". What can I do?

Answer: This is not an uncommon problem and has a few causes. First, the server may be down, or just coming back online. Until the database fully loads you will not be able to access your character. Keep trying to go back and reconnect and you should get in. Second, there is a player limit on the server. If the server is full you will not be able to connect, but it does not display a waiting queue like an official server. Be patient and try again in a few minutes. The server has become very popular so it is full quite often. The best you can hope for is for someone to log off. And last, if you still have problems, try deleting your WDB folder in your World of Warcraft install directory. This can sometimes contain corrupted information that could prevent you from connecting.

The most important thing is be patient. Don't immediately run to the boards and begin posting about how badly you want to play and asking when you will be able to connect. We all want to play. But 100 people posting and asking for a status on the server does nothing but create board spam. KP is well aware of when the server is down and will do everything he can to make sure it stays up. Badgering him about restarting the server only makes things worse.

<s>Question: "I am stuck on my mount and can not dismount. Help me now or I'll quit or do something mean like call your mom a murloc!"

Answer: This is a known bug that happens sometimes. If you are stuck on your mount and can't seem to dismount hit <enter> to bring up the chat prompt and type .dismount and you should be fine.</s> resolved bug

Question: "Crits aren't working!"

Answer: Crits are indeed working but the Mangos servers do not display crits in larger numbers than a normal hit, unlike the official servers. Because of this it looks like you never crit. But if you switch to your combat log and watch the fights you will see that you crit just as often here as on an official server, if not more, as long as your weapon skill is up to date with your level. Past 70th level you will almost always crit against most non-boss type mobs.

So yes, you do crit, but the display doesn't make it obvious when you crit. The same goes for spells.

Question: Are you a GM?
Answer: .gmlist or just plain .gm

Question: How did you get level 255, Did a GM give u Levels and can u level me?
Answer: No, work for it. There are custom lvl mobs in naxx KP and Death put in i advise u to go in at lvl 120+ with a group

Question (as reported) : when we enter in battle stance, we cannot "turn it off"?

answer (from dev#1) : Originally, stances do not need to be turned off. Your current stance is always on, but it activates fully (decreasing speed, changing the animation) when you enter the combat, as far as we know.

answer (from dev#2) : As I understand in official you can't turnoff stance. You can only switch current active stance.

Answer (some random person who just wanted to seem important) : warrior stances have only some effects. animations etc are done when switching.

battle stance: no effect, -20% aggro gain
defensive stance: 10% less damage received, +10% aggro gain
berserker stance: +3% crit, 10% more damage received, -20% aggro gain.

as dev#1 said, one stance is always on (on official servers you start in a stance, usually battle).

Can I have/be GM?

Im really sorry but please stop asking to be made a GM, think about it, if you are in your first or second day of the community how can I give you GM? this isnt a no this is a "wait and get to know us and let us know you" kind of answer. I see much potential, some very enthusiatic and nice people(so far anyway ) so once i get to know you guys and (the one self reported gal ) I will pick people to help me and they will get rewarded for their help.

Can I Attack random people while they are fighting bosses?
NO

Can I attack cities while im real high and their players are low?
NO

Can I attack lower level players?
NO

Has the realmlist changed?

Yes it changed just recently to a new better one. Please use the following Realmlist from now on.

I finally finished coding my .recall replacement. here is the command with all the args :

you will get no response for now.
you will get no response if you type it wrong.
you will get no response if you are in combat, you will stay where you are.

if it doesnt work make sure you are NOT in combat, its made so you cannot run from combat.

Another command to keep in mind is the .save command

You can save manually every half a minute. if you type save in between you will not get a response. Don't spam the command or I will bring back to kick for spamming it. when you gain a few levels or get a cool item etc just type in .save or make a macro and use it whenever.

People are always complaining about how they have to delete the WDB folder well here's a simple batch file I use to start my wow, it delete all wdb files and starts wow from one click so I can be sure that whatever changes were made to the DB will be correctly displayed in my client. file attached below just put in the same folder and wow.exe and make a shortcut to desktop or wherever you wish to run from or run directly.
