Posted this in a bad section, so i'll post it here:

does anyone have suggestions for an OS (stay within the realms of XP please) that i can put on a disc to reformat with?

the reason i've been reformatting so much is cause my reformatts are dirty.. as in the disc sucks and alot of the core files are corrupt, resulting in harsh startups, and explorer.exe always crashing... it still runs, but it does lead (for some reason) to alot more chances in picking up a Trojan downloader... (thank the lord for AVG)

i just want to have 1 clean reformatt so i can acually have a setup i can brag about.. either way, i have burnable CD's and DVD's, and i am interested in suggestions (torrent wise for example) for XP versions i could DL to reformatt with (reformatt programs, basic stuff here cause i'm not exactly an expert)

and i have heard of Windows 64 bit, and i do have a 64bit processor, if i could get some information, like lag spikes, etc, i want to make sure the 64 wouldn't push my games over the edge, i think my card could explode D:

now i've looked at the link i got from win64, but is it an update? or a totally new OS, i need program i can burn to a disc to reformat with

Win X64 works wonders for me, the drivers are coming out fast and good these days, sites are recognizing it as standard now. X64 cannot be updated to from regular windows its a clean install.

does win64 update everything? like some DLL files that i have that are glitching causeing my slow startups, is it a posibility it'll update and replace those?

and also: do i need a key? :P

if you have a legal copy of XP PRO 32 Bit, you can download 64 bit for free directly from M$... but you need the LEGAL copy, if you don't I'm sure |<[]D can hook you up... .. .
