i can't use my filters on psd files in photoshop? - December 29th, 2007

i can use them on jpgs but on psd files not all of them are available. they used to be but not anymore for some reason. i have my creative suite running off of a external drive. and also, i cant save psd files to jpeg by using save-as. i'm not sure whats the problem and i'm hoping theres a quick fix because i dont feel like having to reinstall my creative suite. oh yeah, it is a legal version. i bought it. and its the pc version.
