Axel G. also known as "Ago", the phatbot-trojan-developer, was arrested a week ago while he was programming his trojan. He had taken his time to do several other activities on the side such as breaking into remote systems accross the globe, up until he was caught. According to Heise Online's research, "Ago" had also been involved in the code-theft of the pc-game half-life 2. The evidence of this can be found in the public chatlog.
In september 2003, the stolen HL2 code was published on the internet, and Valve was forced to postpone the release of the game till just recently. The reason for this is that the sourcecode didn't only allow access to the most important basic software techniques but also gave cheaters the abiliity to code cheats for the game in advance. According to Heise Online's information, the damage is about 100 million US-$.
