ok when i log on i get on ok and everything but when i start up it stays at retrieving charecter list for like 4 minutes then work is there a way i can get it to not do that anymore?

I thought that I made this clear in the new sticky, but I get now...

The reason for this is because whenever you have 100+ people trying to join at the same time it lags up the special joining server that stores all the characters. You can't do anything about it except DONATE
