UbiSoft has long been against No-CD patches. Referring to them on their forums would get you warned or banned. But now, they have just officially released a patch for Rainbow 6: Vegas 2, which, when opened in a hex editor, can easily be identified as coming from the RELOADED scene group, not from UbiSoft programmers. A picture of hex analysis is shown in the story. See? Piracy isn't that bad! It saves you from having to code fixes for your own games!

Typical. Ubisoft killed a good friend of mine's cd drive with their Crap cd protection. Made the drive spin all the time while playing their game, basically wore out the drive. Started burn coasters instead of good data cds. He bought same model drive, I gave him a cd crack, never had a problem. Ubisoft can chew my cud. Sad that the pirate community can come up with a solution that should have been handled inhouse. Sad, but not surprising. Corporate dickweeds.

And that's rather a harsh comment, I mean Ubisoft probably knows that most of the gamers use a No-CD crack because nobody wants to take the time to put his CD/DVD in his CD/DVD Drive. Then why not use one themselfs? Okay, I agree they should credit the real maker instead of denying it...
