and ding ding ding i think we have found the cause.

you have an old video card that can't take on the current games.
you have one of two solutions.
1) Decrease the quality of the games (reduce screen size, remove certain effects, etc)
2) buy a better video card. an ATI 9800 or equivalent would do. (to conserve money of course)

to compare nvidia and ati, the 5200 (nvidia) is equvialent to about the ATI 9000

what are your processor temps running at. If they are getting hot that can cause programs to lock up

no, it was the Video card. the 5200 cant handle 'newer' games on high modes

So the solution is to turn down graphics settings, not to buy a new card.

A 5200 will run the latest games. Just not at maximum graphics detail.

yea you only need to put down your graphics at the minimum.

lol... Whats sad... is with a Gforce 5200 256MB vid card... I can run wow with max settings... only running 512mb RAM... and baby oh baby for under 10FPS its sexy
