So the emu is putting out new revisions and are they basically just patches? And when your compiling them does that mean your including it in with the server? And how long on average does a compile take?

with compiling i think he indeed means adding the patches to the server,and on average,we only notice a downtime of a few minutes when he's done it

I take the source code of the project, compile it using compiler tools available for Linux, and compile the source code into a usable application, every time a new revision comes out I have to recompile the whole deal.
