Im really sorry but please stop asking to be made a GM, think about it, if you are in your first or second day of the community how can I give you GM? this isnt a no this is a "wait and get to know us and let us know you" kind of answer. I see much potential, some very enthusiatic and nice people(so far anyway ) so once i get to know you guys and (the one self reported gal ) I will pick people to help me and they will get rewarded for their help.

Sounds like a plan.

I don't think KingPin is looking for extra GM's yet, not until he can verify you're here to stay and not here just for gm abilities.

My experience has been that those who beg and plead for GM positions are exactly the people that you don't want running around as GMs on your server.

Coming from someone who, way back in the stone age, ran their own MUD for about 4 years, I have a pretty good working knowledge of the type of person it takes to be a good GM. I probably saw about 30 GMs pass through my server in those days, and the best ones were players that never said a peep about even having the desire to be one.

Being a GM is about sacrifice and spending your time online helping other people, no matter how lame you might think they are. It is about being the guy who is always yelled at by the players when there is a problem but forgotten when things are running smooth.

I have noticed a trend on a lot of public WoW servers where the admins give out GM abilties to people at the drop of the hat, or for donations of cash. Those are exactly the servers that I look to avoid. No one wants GM Timmy the Powerhungry running around smiting newbies with his L33T Sw0rD of ChA0s, except the player behind Timmy.

I think KP can figure out on his own, in time, who (if anyone) would be an asset him as a GM.

Until then, lets all just play! When the server is up of course :P

Please check the other topics before posting this type of thing. This topic has nothing to do with the server being down, which it is right now, and you would know had you bothered to read some of the move obvious topics.
