The question is not what *today's* rules allow, the question is how openly, blatantly and knowingly he decided to violate the explicit and consensual rules and codes of conduct to which he and all Den members subscribed when they signed up: no friggin' ganking *anywhere* but on the Arena floor.
Our groveling buddy - "I have seen the light, I am saved, please let me back in after I've knowingly fucked up and told you all to take a flying fuck with your anal rules" - wants back in. That just doesn't cut it, sorry.
The rules have changed? I don't give a shit. If I applied past income tax laws to this year's income, the friggin' government would owe me a gazillion dollars, but we all know that can't be done. We all know that's technicolor dreaming.
Simply put: He knew.
He fucked up.
And he persisted.
And he fucked up some more.
Then he told everyone to fuck off and die.
And then he told everyone to exactly where to shove the anally retentive rules to which even he'd agreed.
Surprise: "OMG-I-can't-fucking-believe-it-I'm-banned-and-I-don't-fucking-understand-why-this-shit-is-happening-to-
me!!!".
Boo-fucking-hoo. Anyone else (but him) still surprised by the outcome? Thought so.
So, let's say that maybe he *has* learned.
I don't give a shit. Too darn bad he was such an exceptionally slow learner. 'Cause there were chances to make amends. And many of them, I was there and I remember.
Allow me a real life analogy to illustrate my point. Premise: let us assume that, for reasons unknown, you fuck up and flunk out of college.
1- you knew and agreed to the fact that you had to respect a certain grade-point average/code of conduct, but chose not to or could not do so
2- you flunk out big time and get kicked out and then proceed to tell the registrar and everyone else to go fuck themselves
3- *but* - and there is a but - you *do* deserve a second chance
4- sadly, there's no fucking way that that very same college will take you back, but you are free to apply to any other college of your choice
5- apply the preceding points to a job, a family, a romantic relationship, a friendship or even (get this) A RELATIONSHIP WITH A VIRTUAL COMMUNITY (can you fucking imagine that!) and stop wasting our time though we *do* wish you the best of luck on the rest of your WoW life, wherever that may be.
Conclusion and moral of our short fable: when you decide to knowingly fuck up (and I think that point has been aptly and many a time proved), the fact remains that when you *do* fuck up you have to own up, pay up and move on.
So, in the end, what's changed? The date and that's about it.
He fucked up big time and I'd say that by asking to be unbanned that
yet fucking again and once more, he *totally* disregards the rules that he now promises to respect! Let me me remind those of you who missed it that when
faced with a final and irrevocable ban, A LIFE BAN FOR CHRIST'S SAKES, he knowingly chose to tell The Den community to all go fuck ourselves. He knew the rules and what it cost to go against them. Now, he wants to go against them again!?!
I can't fucking believe it.
He said "Bring it on, motherfuckers". We said "Stop it, we'll sack your ass". He said "I don't give a shit, assholes". We didn't either. Now he wants back in. Dang, we *still* don't give a shit!
Well, buddy, there are some lessons to be learned in life and, free of charge and in totally random order, here are a few:
- You have absolutely
no fucking rights after pissing away a rare
privilege - zero, nada, zilch.
- There is a price to pay for everything you do wrong in life. And I do mean everything. And it may be a bitchin' long time before you pay up.
- Pissing against the wind will make even your very best friends strp away from you. Ordinary folks will just turn their backs and not give a fuck about you and your sorry-ass reasons, whatever they may be.
- You may want to be very careful when you wish ill fate upon someone - *exactly* like what you wished the whole community you so ardently want to rejoin today - it will probably just come back to bite you in the ass. Big time.
- After showing gracious hosts a total lack of respect, regard and gratitude, crawling back on all fours will most likely not cut it - some may even, and rightly so, find it enjoyable to see you beg.
- Goodwill and sympathy are about 100 times harder to
earn than to maintain - and I do mean *earn* because 'deserve' does not apply to you anymore. After pissing everyone off, earning
back is a *thousand* times harder.
- Being a man sometimes means swallowing real hard and suffering the consequences of our actions.
Last but not least, some people just don't give a shit about how fucking sorry he is. We don't even care if he really is or not!
He had the great privilege to play here with us and decided to piss it away.
He has to live with it. Today, tomorrow and the day after that. He could have thought about it yesterday, the day before and the day before that.
I know most of us don't miss him one bit. I'd even say we're happier since
he decided to get banned.
Oh, and just for the record, I don't give a shit about him or how much or why he wants back in. I'm too busy being happy for him that he got exactly what he wanted 3 months ago: to get banned by his repeated actions and words.
The Den is a better place without him and his drama.
Now it's time for him to move on.
Regards,
cmoa
