i thought this was a server for the players, not for <GM>'s to display their power to make their guild the biggest..
guilds should be left to players not staff for any reason at all ever.. as a matter of fact they shouldn't be allowed to interact with players on personal basis ever even if they have a non gm character that they play with unless no one know his/hers character. irc chat on mains only.. once found out should be erased and GM repremanded because of sloppy game ply.. if they do want to join and play as a regular member it should not be known to anyone ever.. maybe staff but if staff rats each other out then that exeplifies my point here.. Also GM prospect should have to work their way to the top.. not just know someone here..

hmm i agree and disagree with this at the same time. I agree that gms should not be allowed to be the LEADER of a guild because that kinda makes some people wanna join a guild that has a staff member as leader cus it gives that player the thought that maybe it will benefit them even know it probably wont. but i think that staff should be able to have their non gm toons in a player guild (not as leaders) because the gms have a life of their own and friends of their own. I disagree that gms should have to completely stay out of contact with all of their friends because even know they have these powers as gm i havent seen anyone abuse their powers yet. Also isn't one of the main points of mmorpg to meet people, make friends, have fun, etc? Again gms have lives of their own. P.S. I didn't join Nihilum because the leader has a gm toon. I joined it because of all of the fun that i had the first time Nihilum was around. the leader at that time didn't have a gm toon. I had alot of good times with friends back then. I am not trying to start a fight or anything I am just stating my opinion.

You have got to be joking don't you, I can only assume your talking about Jason as being the staff member/gm that has the guild, big deal, when he raids it is with a non gm account, when he plays it is with a non gm account. I'm quite sure that he is mature enough not to abuse his powers, I have played, raided, messed around and joked with these guys since coming to the server, this is not Blizzard, I for one quite enjoy having the close interaction with the staff on this server, even KingPin drops in from time to time.

Fair dinkum, if I was someone was offered a position on staff and was told not to tell anyone who they were i'm sure players on here would soon work it out and lose all respect for that player, And I know I wouldn't want to be on a private server where you couldn't associate with staff, some of these guys have become quite good mates, and have the respect of most players on here.

If this is about Jason & War, you really couldnt be further from it if you tried.
When they are in guild, theres no mention of "staff" they organise/lead the guild in a friendly manner and not once have i ever seen them say "oh do this cuz im staff"
Yes its a big guild, but that says more for the guild than who the leaders work for.
Jason has built that guild up and warriorz too.
So stop trying to pick petty fights with people just because there staff.

Only thing i have to say about this. This isn't retail. On retail people get paid for this, here it's for free (unless they bribed ofc ). So it's kind of logical they have normal characters too. What advantage would it have to you if.. TFM, Jason, Warrz, etc. deleted their normal characters? And the sloppy gameplay your are talking about has NOTHING to do with GMs. Most GMs here can't fix the things that are going on on the server right now. Also, most GMs here on the server started out as normal players, wouldn't it be rude if they just started talking to others like he or she never heard about that player? It would be a little rude don't you think

hmm, if GMs cannot go into someone elses guild, then there will be a players guild of only staff i suppose it would turn out.
