Ok, well most of you seem to be confused at what the term means on the Kps network, and what we would consider as one, and suitable for punishment or not.

Ganking is attacking another player without permission from that player outside of the "PvP" area, which we consider as the arena floor in Stranglethorn Vale or outside of a duel which has been agreed to by both players, or if a player is attacking one of either factions 4 major cities.

The player doesn't need to actually die for it to be considered a gank, the attempted attack on the other player is enough for it to be considered.

If someone does decide to attempt to gank you and you fight back at any time, this cancels out the other gank no matter which player dies if any at all.

If you are being ganked, the best thing you can do is turn your back to that player, change to combat log and extend it as big as it goes and proceed to start taking screenshots until that player leaves or kills you, then proceed to post on the forums.

(if anything was said in normal chat, it might be wise to screen this also as it can add to their punishment if any is required)

Make sure you can clearly see the player name and attacks, there are several addons which make ingame text clearer for screenshots found on various wow addon sites.

Hmm, that one confuses me a little. From reading the rule book, i'm under the assumption that it means any city that belongs to either horde or alliance (So if an alliance member attacks lets say Razor hill then he is open to attack). Or is what you said what i should now follow?

faction capitals, Stormwind, Ironforge, Orgimmar, Undercity

Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon City, Darnassus, Exodar.

OK, let's say I'm hanging around SW and I see in the Local Defense chat that "Stormwind is under attack".

From what I understand, that means I can go after the attacker and that he/she is fair game. For anyone around, no matter how many Allies there are.

But, I have questions.

It's been stated in the "Ganked by Pandomenium (sic)" thread below (http://www.kpsforum.com/den-mmo-serv...ndomenium.html) that pursuing a flagged PVPer off the Arena floor is considered ganking and is a condemnable offense...

So, to avoid any possible problems, when exactly does pursuing the attacker of a city become ganking? At what point? How far can I go?

Is it the second he stops attacking NPCs? The second he's out of NPC aggro range? The second he changes zones? Or can I chase the invader all the way to Stonard and keep attacking until his pvp flag wears off?
