Will it be fixed when the npc's going out of the map or in to the floor when you go inside something? And why not upgrade to the new server patch? Dont do that give new quests and new stuff and fix things? Id say it be cool if KP upgrades the server to the new patch.

The server will be upgraded if and when kp is ready to and also if and when there is a new rev to be added from the mangos team,

also the npc problem will be here until a Z axis fix has been made, currently it's broken due to the anti hack system thats running (mainly affects non original terrain like caves or game objects and also agro'ing while flying. this is a part of mangos, there figuring out a way to fix it without removing the hack protection, and if and when it's ready it will be implemented into a future revision patch.

Azranos thanks for the info. Made alot of things clear to me. Do you know if all the free servers are like that? (the npc thing)

no probs and currently all mangos servers are like it, I'm not sure about antrix/ascent but i know they have similar hack protection so it's likely to be on there also.

And i believe kingpin was being sarcastic he just doesn't like people asking if and when or w/e.

kingpin will update the server, but he doesn't know when yet, the mangos revision needs to come out (or clarified that this mangos rev will work correctly with 2.3 with updated maps and dbc's) first, then he needs to update his database to accommodate all the new npc's, quests and items.

Kp can't just magically update it to 2.3

We're bassed on Mangos. Mangos has to do the updates, not KP.

All KP does is pay for the server, dowload some revs, install em..
Tweak a little things here and there.

Mangos only do the emu, and if the current rev supports it the server could be updated straight away - however that would be pointless, mangos don't do the database (they create a sandbox so to speak) quests items and npc's are custom DB here KP and the den team does this.

as for payment he pays for the internet host, his massive bandwidth connection, the electricity for a server to be on 24 hours a day and also any upgrades.

He downloads the rev (if one is required) and then extracts all the maps and dbc's and then they create the database update for all the 2.3 features (this could take a long time and a lot of work is required)

it's not as easy or as cheap as you make it seem to be
