It has come to my knowledge that the retail version of getting into the BT still works. I find it much easier as well in certain cases. All you do is talk to some people, kill Alar (take talon) and kill someone in Hyjal (even though it let me turn in the quest immediatly after taking it).

I suggest doing it the retail way if you are with a bunch of people, where if you are the only one who needs attunement then do KP's. The reasoning is because for lots of people it is easier to rekill Alar for the talon than it is to get to Kael and repeat him over and over.

The quest starts in the center of Shat by Seer Olum (or something like that). He is a neutral draenei.

On Den you gotta kill Kael for his Necklace which I still working on my hunter Razlin If you want to get a group for it be happy too help Still working my way to get into BT Then I gotta get Zul'aman gear I guess.

The retail version does not need Kael to be dead. I have done the BT attunement both ways and both work.

My advice is take both quests and which ever item u get fro TK (the eye) is the one you do.
