Stuck at character loading screen

I was trying to log in at about 330am and for some reason i am stuck on the "Retrieving character list" screen. Anyone know what I can do to get connected?

I've got the same problem

Probably server thinks we are still playing... :/
it should be restarted

Does it ever do this when the server is down? Maybe my computer is just demon possessed at the moment (It has been known to happen). I suppose if all else fails i can just break out the trusty ol sledge hammer. It really is amazing the results you get from them.

it may not Fix that you can't connect, but the easiest thing to do would be to connect to irc and /join the #Den then you can see if the server is up or not
