"unable to validate game version"

omg PLEASE somebody help me!!! lol let me type what it says completely.
- Unable to validate game version. This may be caused by file corruption or the interference of another program. Please go to www.blizzard. blah blah blah for assistance and what not... ok does any one have ANY CLUE what to do? >.<.... it sucks.. ive already registered for the website AND "The Den" server..... dunno what to do now.. and i downloaded the 2 patchs needed i think...

YOu need to downgrade and use the nifty search tool on how to downgrade, theres a lot of posts on how.

make sure your on 2.0.12

as soon as you start wow it will download the 2.1.0 patch, you don't want this unless you plan to play on antrix server. So what you do is go in your wow files and link the wow startup file to the browser, this will start wow immideatly and it will not download 2.1.0

ok i got my wow downgraded... Ive set my realmlist to the KPS forum thing and its still giving me the same message... "Unable to validate" i signed up here too - http://www.kpsforum.com/ext.php?ref=...sforum.com:81/ i dont know what to do... if any one is nice enough/has time please help me out...

look if you have a "spacebar space" behind the realmlist, wow sees that as a part of the realmlist too. so when you start, it will say "unable to connect"
becouse "wow.kpsforum.com(space here)" does not exist.

Ok well i did fix what you said... but that didnt help and connecting wasnt my issue i dont think... It says Unable to Validate game version"... what am i supposed to do to the stupid version? i mean i downgraded it... Do I have to delete any patchs saved to my wow folder? or add something to any of my wow folders?... this isnt working out too well for me... but i would REALLY like to try private out... any info once again on how i might be able to get this running please help me...

the reason I dont have an answer for you yet = what is your version? once you tell me that I can better tell you what to do. you have mentioned downgrading/upgrading etc but not number.

Ok im sorry ive got it.,... i opened wow and bottom left says...
"Version 2.0.0 (6080) Release
Oct 31 2006"

omg im so osrry to bug you all with my problems.. but i fixed it... OMG im so happy hehe im sorry to annoy you all if i did... thanks so much though and its awsome so far! =)
