I almost soloed Shazz in a robe today (while my pally friend was AFK). I tanked ghennas with a few heals from said pally friend. Not saying the pally friend couldn't have pwned either of these bosses, but my point is I was wearing a robe. Fully buffed I had like 2100 armor, and I can tank. I really don't think we need priests at this point just because we don't need a dedicated healer. Pallies and shammies and droods are great cause they can DPS and throw a heal when needed.
Don't get me wrong, now. As soon as the EXP is fixed, I'll probably roll me a priest, just in case we ever need one, but at the moment, it seems like a priest would be over kill. If you like being a priest and you're a good healer, then I'd be really happy to have you around

On the other hand, the other healing classes could use some extra healing. Just keep in mind that on retail, you're healing non stop. Pallies and shammies and druids don't go to MC or BWL or even ZG to do anything other than buff and heal, so if you're wearing any of your tier sets and you notice that you're only getting healing gear, there's a reason for it. Hell, in a raiding guild your application wouldn't even get looked at if you weren't restro spec.
If somone in your party is about to die, chain heal them for 1.5k per heal until they're at around 89% health and go back to attacking the boss. Not to sound rude, but if you're a healer, that's kinda what you're supposed to be doing the entire fight anyway, and we're taking a LOT less damage than a MT would in retail so you still get to do some dps between heals.
If anybody is doing any of the instances where healing is needed, or if you're a mage/warlock and you know you'll need heals, I'll bring my shammy down and keep ya alive
