Welcome guys, I am now starting to host events that will require an entry fee, depending on event will be between 5 and 50 solarians to enter but most events only being 10 solarians.

The idea behind these events is that you (the player) pays the gm to enter into an event, and intead of winning solarians you can win BattleGround Marks of Honor, so just think, how long would it normally take you to collect 20 markes of honor, if you win a standard event you could win 20 MoH straight up, for the cost of only 10 solarians..



The 1st event I have put into place is a standard 1v1 pvp event, BUT.... there are twists..

It costs you 10 solarians to enter, there is an odd number of players, I will auction a free pass to the 2nd round for 1 player, that player will be the highest bidder at the time,

So, you lose in any round, I will charge you a re-entry fee depending on the round to pass thru to the next round anyways, this is how it works

1st round 5 solarians,
2nd round 10 solarians
3rd round 15 solarians
4th round 20 solarians

for any Final that you wish to have another shot at will cost you 50 solarians

If any particular fight seems to be taking to long I will take solarian bribes from onlookers to hurry the fight up a bit, ie, sending more players into the fight to spam aoe's,

If you show up late to an event and you wish to enter, it will cost you depending on what round,
if it's after R1 will be 20 solarians, R2 would be 25 solarians and so on.

If you gain these marks, you still need honor points to purchase items.
Also, people that don't have good gear, not high enough level, won't be able to compete.
And thus rendering them unable to purchase honor stuff.

So basically, this is an event only for donors the way I look at it.


And also: This is a good opportunity to look at a previous suggestion of me, Marks of Honor. Exchanging solarian for marks of honor, so hosting normal events will give players a chance to purchase the marks themselves.

Cedrics is kinda right.. Wasn't solarians a reward of an event, and not a way to pay for it?

I think this is a bit madness , cause donors really dont need the marks , they got the gears.sol's are better , like getting sols for entries
and making it like this:
1st place gets 50% of all sols collected from that event
2nd gets 25%
3rd gets 10%
and the other 15% is kept to the GM so that there wouldn't be so many sols around.

That's another way of getting sols rather easily.... I like the idea of Bundy though, but with Paule's idea in it. Instead of getting MoH, give the sols as price money. I know that there are at this point to many sols in rotation, and that was your way of getting rid of some sols. But rather use Cedric's idea then to get rid of em.

well if u have to pay solarius its kinda weird so if u dont have any u wont have a chance ever to enter a event :S and thats not gwd :P so its fine just remove the fee of sol...

Not all events are going to have a fee. Perhaps you should read more carefully next time. As far as it being donor only, that's incorrect. We have been doing more events that are not level or pvp driven. As with any event, it is your choice to join in or not. You dont want to pay sols, do a different event type.

We can run some different types of events, offer some different rewards, or do less of them.
