Kill the King Event General Rules -
July 28th, 2008
Hi guys and gals, thought I'd outline the general rules for Kill the King Event (KTK)
The premise of this event is for each side to kill the other side's king.
When a GM announces this event type, Horde can use .warp ktkh and Alliance can use .warp ktka to port to their respective bases.
The first thing you need to do is form a raid party for your side, or join the existing one. It's very important to do this, as this is how we GMs know the number of players in the event, and this will determine when we start. Also, stay at your base until event starts, do not wander the playing field or goto opposing base prior to event start.
A king needs to be chosen amongst the players, the king sits upon the throne at each base, and cannot move until attacked by opposing side. After being attacked, the king can move freely about the battlefield, and engage targets.
Event starts when GM announces the start, and continues until a king has died. When the king has died, the GM will announce it, and all pvp stops. You then need to return to your base, and the GM will then either reward you immediately, or, note the names of all party members and mail rewards.
Ressing may or may not be allowed, the GM running event will inform you of this prior to event start. Healing your own team is always allowed, as is any legitimate skill/tactic at your disposal.
That's the general outline of the even. Remember, any rules the GM gives you prior to event start override anything listed here. All GMs have the authority to run the event as they see fit, and if they feel additional regulation is needed, they will do so.
Thanks for reading!
