Idea new event: City defense -
August 31st, 2008
EVENT NAME: CITY DEFENSE
EVENT TYPE: RAID HORDE VS ALLIANCE
OBJECTIVE: KILL CITY BOSS AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE
GUIDELINES:
It's actually an easy concept, basically its a Horde vs Alliance event each faction in a raid. For example Horde is to defend Orggrimar and protect Thrall for as long as they can, the Alliance would start outside the city and Horde must defend Thrall using all possible means. The objective of Alliance would be to get to Thrall quick as possible and kill him in the shortest time possible once Thrall was killed the event would switch sides and the GM would keep time of how long it took Alliance to kill Thrall.
Now Alliance would be on the defensive side and would protect Ironforge at all cost and the (BOSS GUY have no IDEA who it is for Alliance) and Horde would be on the offensive side. The Goal would be for Horde to kill the Ironforge boss quicker than Alliance was able to kill Thrall if not then Alliance would be the winners however if Horde beat alliances time Horde would be the victor.
Now to make things fair far as who would go first the Raid leader of each faction would do a /roll 100, the highest number would choose either to defend or attack first. Also different cities could be used.
--------------------------
Another way that it could be done to make the event shorter is that still both factions get in a raid group and the raid leaders would do /roll 100 and the highest would be either to defend or attack and the GM would set a time limit for the attacking team to kill the boss and the objective would be for the defending team would be to protect the city leader for the allotted time frame. If the offensive team kills the boss within the time frame they are the victors if not then the defending faction would be the victor.
--------------------------
We actually did this a few weeks back and it was quiet fun without it being an event but if it was an event there would be more of a response to it and be more fun, I think we had 5vs5 or so and it was a blast, all we did tho was defend Org.
