Now in another instance that i've seen, various hacks change the color of the team, this is known as Lambert (make the player model bright) or Team Lambert (makes the model the color of the team (ct blue, t red)) That being said, this simple modification in Steam, which is VAC Safe, is cool in CS:S, but is a bannable offense in CS 1.6. Not very fair. But life isnt fair. All jokes/kidding aside, is this modification in the CS:S steam folder a hack, or is it fair? Up to you to decide.
In my opinion it is fair as fair can be. I am a firm believer that if it does not change either the mechanics or physics of the game then it does no harm! Its just a matter of better target identification, which most FPS have something similar in-built anyway.
