This is the clearly free program. There are no spyware or adware. It's absolutely safe to install and to run!
Step 2. Launch Free YouTube to iPod and PSP Converter

Follow Start > All Programs > DVDVideoSoft > Free YouTube to iPod and PSP Converter or just click the program icon on the desktop.

The interface is very simple and self explaining. There are the field for an input file or a YouTube URL, the field for an output path, and lists with preconfigured profiles.
Step 3. Select input video file or YouTube URL

Click the upper Browse... button to select an input FLV file from your computer.

Or enter a YouTube URL to the Input file field. The URL looks like:

YouTube - Space Ship One(1/4) (Digest version)

Note: It is recommended to "copy-paste" the link directly from the browser address bar to this field.
Step 4. Select output location

Click the bottom Browse button on the right. Choose the location where you would like to save your converted video file. Click Save.
Step 5. Select output format profile

In the list of Devices select Apple iPod, Sony PSP or Mobile Phone.

In the list of Profiles select one of the available pre-configured profiles.
Step 6. Convert video

Click the button along the bottom of the interface and wait just a few seconds.
Step 7. Transfer video to iPod

Open Apple iTunes and drag the newly converted video file to the library window. If you have selected "Automatically update all videos" for the video preferences for your iPod, the new video will automatically transfer when you connect the player. If you have selected "Automatically update the selected playlists only," make sure that you drag the new video to one of the selected playlists.

Note: You'll probably want to update the information of the video when you move it to the iTunes library. To do this, select Videos from the left-hand column and go to list view. Then, click the file for which you want to edit info and select Get Info from the File menu (or simply right-click). You can edit the boxes found under the Info tab.
