because of the lower rate, gold worth more and you can trade with gold now that wouldn't be possible if everyone would have 400k within 1 or 2 hours of farming... therefore i like the lowererd rate. (i remember back in 1.12 when everyone was like "gold? wtf! i don't need that crap i'm on max gold."
