I personally prefer Photoshop as a bitmap editor... I have CorelPaint and know how to use it but rarely do I use it.

I do use CorelDraw as a vector based drawing program and I like it [I can also use & have Freehand & Illustrator as vector based programs but I prefer CorelDraw]

My working pattern would be to creat in CorelDraw the imagery that I want to develop... then if I need to... convert the image to a bitmap and refine it in Photoshop.
