Windows Vista network cant see shared folders -LAN?

Hi I cant find my shared folders on LAN, I got them on a other puter (samba).
I have a win XP Pc and from that machine I can the and read write to the folders.
I have Vista business and SP1 RC.
I can see the other PC with unpn but as said not the folders.
Workgroup is the same on all units.
the share is connected to a linuxmachine.
connect the share on another pc is not a option

i think u need to make the vista machine the server.... meaning put the folder on the vista machine and share it will the xp

i dont think they are backwards compatable
