Can Someone Help me With Adobe Photoshop?

I'm trying to make it so that only one thing in my picture is colored, and the rest is black and white.
I'm having trouble finding out how....
So....
How?

follow this
1-select the part u need in the photo to be colored
with any selection tool
2-then go to select menu and do 'inverse'
3-then go to image..adjustments..desaturate
4-then go to select menu and do 'deselect'
