Install xp when comp is made for vista.? -
December 15th, 2007
hey guys.
recently i bought a new laptop that came with vista. I wanted to wipe out that version to install a clean copy of vista without all the crap that the manufacturer (acer) put on it. So i reformatted my hdd. creating 2 different partitions and installed xp first just to see if i could dual boot both os' but it turns out that the ALL the frikin drivers from the graphics, internet, sound, touchpad and even the ones for the sd, xd pro cards are for vista. THE QUESTION IS: if the drivers are for vista does dat meen that the hardware cannot be used with xp? Can i install drivers from the manufacturers of the hardware eg. intel, ati etc etc? Or am i stuck with vista.
btw. vista = ORSUM
