not about bandwidth, mysql db space is a lot more important, with a 20/2.5 connection bandwidth issues are on the back burner for me, mysqlhowever eats ram like fat kid eats cake (50 cent (dont like rap? tough, i live in brooklyn I dont have a choice)) so cutting back on mysql DB space is a lot more important. for example I cannot name the MMORPG due to NDA reasons but recently a major MMO stop golding players items for them in temp storage on death just to reduce one table from their DB's! (now the itme sstay on the player so he has them soon as he spawns, whereas before he would have to goto a closeby drop on respawn and pick up the items again.)
